Experience
I originally started out as a Secondary English teacher major, but switched to social work. I have a passion for teaching. I'm a published writer and have won first place in Purdue University's Annual Writing Contest. I've been on the Dean's list and the Semester Honor's list several times and have a GPA of 3.5. I currently work as a Visitation Supervisor for Harmony House. I am also a C.A.S.A. volunteer for LaPorte County. My schedule is flexible and changes often.

You can find me spending time with my kids, working, doing my volunteer work as a CASA, or reading about the latest topic that interests me. I love animals and have a talent for relating to kids. I'm likely the person sticking up for the underdog or trying to improve something. I have a knack for explaining things easier than most. I'm currently working on a new program to bring to young people in the community to prevent teen pregnancy and welfare reliance. The project is called The S.O.S. Program (Staying Out of the System). I will be traveling to different schools and organizations to educate youth on the downside of the welfare program and all that goes along with it.
